Job description
The role of the Certified Master Technician is to diagnose, maintain and repair vehicles in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position interacts daily with Customers, Service Advisors, other Technicians, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers. You will be responsible for building customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Bayou Automotive as the care-giver for their vehicle’s safety and reliability.

Certified Master Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
- Conduct multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Work with the Parts Department to ensure the correct parts are ordered and timeline of when they will be received
Certified Master Technician Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Safe driving record & valid in-state driver’s license
- Applicants must maintain their Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
- 5+ years experience as an automotive technician
- Advanced engine and electrical knowledge/experience
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
- Fast, eager learner and team player
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
