Job description

New York Butcher Shoppe & Wine Bar in Alpharetta, GA is looking for an experienced butcher to join our 12 person strong team. We are located on 12365 Crabapple Road, Ste 120. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Process meat cuts according to portions and business standards
• Oversee inventory levels and quality control
• Maintain cutting equipment functionality
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are met including proper storage of meats
• Accurately estimate meat weight during cutting
• Knowledge of a wide variety of cuts and meats
• Work with customers to help them select meat

Qualifications

• Experience working as a butcher or similar role
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
• Ability to work with and coordinate with a team to ensure success
• Able to work in a cold environment for long periods of time
