Job description
Job Summary: The Seasonal Budtender works hard to drive daily dispensary operations and customer service during our busy season. Seasonal Budtenders are expected to have knowledge of all cannabis products and accessories sold in the retail environment and work to educate consumers on new products and accessories added to the menu. Seasonal Budtenders have a clear understanding of all policies, procedures and state regulations for dispensing cannabis products, and are eager to work with the public. This position reports to the General Manager and Asst. General Manager. This role will be staffed for the Summer months.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the POS area
- Assist with Greeter Duties (Verifying customer's government issued ID and age before entering the building, ensuring that each customer is properly queued in Dutchie, completing Visitor Log as necessary)
- Verify customer's ID before completing each transaction
- Provide a high-end customer service experience
- Guide customers through their purchases by answering menu and accessory questions accurately
- Keep a clean, organized and compliant product storage area and register
- Use computers, tablets or other technology and software(s) to complete sales transactions
- Restock accessories and other supplies for sales displays and POS
- Complete all trainings, including Responsible Vendor Training, as required
- Responsible for daily opening and closing duties such as stocking, organizing products compliantly, and general housekeeping
- Picking and Packaging sales orders, in-store and pre-orders, compliantly for exit
- Reviewing all sales orders, in-store and pre-orders, for accuracy before completing a transaction
- Handle cash in compliance with company procedures
- Maintain compliance based on Company policies and state regulations
- Adhere to schedule and shift times
- The ability to learn and retain educational information and training re: cannabis products, their effects, and accessories
- Maintain customer privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with nightly product counts, as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Other Requirements:
- Passion for continued education within the cannabis market
- Ability to work well with others and independently
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Maintain current knowledge regarding to cannabis and state regulations
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of retail sales experience preferred
- Must possess a valid state issued driver's license or government issued ID
- Must be 21 years of age or older per the Cannabis Control Commission regulations
- Ability to pass a background check per the Cannabis Control Commission regulations
- Must be able to move up to 30 lbs
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time
- Ability to handle repetitive motions for extended periods of time
