Job description
Salary: $100,000 - 150,000/year
As a Systems Engineer, you will provide the highest level of support for our clients, including overseeing escalated tickets and collaborating with various teams. You will also serve as a Solutions Architect, designing and implementing comprehensive solutions for our clients, particularly focusing on networking, Azure infrastructure, server building, and advanced troubleshooting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee escalated support from Level 2 and 3 technicians in a professional and timely manner relating to all technology.
- Provide IT support for technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems, including Windows server operating systems and roles, Microsoft 365’s full suite, and networking systems.
- Serve as a liaison with various department leaders to gather required IT information for a full network evaluation.
- Evaluate current network infrastructure and propose additional/alternative methods or topologies to increase productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Design and improve servers and workstations to increase efficiency for their specific roles and lifespan.
- Manage installation and configuration of systems as per custom recommendations.
- Create written policy manuals for new system configurations, deployment methods, maintenance techniques, and intervals.
- Provide ongoing training to a team of technicians.
- Maintain and review system documentation in ConnectWise.
- Conduct assessments and audits to identify potential issues and recommend proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and provide strategic IT solutions.
- Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of IT strategies and best practices.
Job Qualifications and certifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an MSP environment or similar IT organization is required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Windows Server 2016 and 2019 Operating Systems.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with server hardware, RAID, Clusters, Active Directory, DNS, and Office365.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with AZURE
- Preferred - AZ303: Microsoft Azure Architect.
- MCSA with experience.
- AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator.
