Job description
**Job Summary:**
As a Tooling Cleaner you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our machining tools and equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all tools, molds, and machinery are thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and ready for production. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively with the production team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Cleaning and Inspection:** Clean and inspect tooling, molds, and machinery components to ensure they meet quality standards.
2. **Tool Disassembly/Assembly:** Disassemble and assemble tools and equipment for cleaning purposes, following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
3. **Material Handling:** Properly handle and store cleaning materials, solvents, and chemicals, adhering to safety guidelines.
4. **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of tool cleaning activities, noting any issues or repairs needed for further evaluation.
5. **Collaboration:** Work closely with the production team to coordinate tooling cleaning schedules and address any urgent cleaning requirements.
6. **Adherence to Procedures:** Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Knowledge of machining tools, molds, and equipment.
- Ability to handle cleaning materials and chemicals safely.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to tooling cleaning.
**Education and Experience:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in tooling cleaning or a related field is preferred.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift and move heavy tools and equipment.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
