Job description
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client for a hybrid opportunity in Lake Mary, FL! The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for compiling and managing amounts owed by the company to vendors and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers $18-$22/Hour!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive and review invoices, ensuring they adhere to organizational policies and have appropriate approvals for payment.
Reconcile amounts owed by comparing invoices to purchase orders (POs) or other relevant records.
Input invoice amounts into the accounting system accurately and efficiently.
Process check runs, wire transfers, or other forms of payment in a timely manner.
Respond to inquiries from vendors promptly and research and resolve any concerns or discrepancies.
Collaborate with other team members to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.
Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable as needed.
Qualification Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or related field preferred.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Ability to identify and seek needed information, with strong research skills.
Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple tasks.
Proficient mathematical skills for calculating payments and reconciling accounts.
Clerical skills including data entry and filing.
Basic accounting knowledge is preferred.
