Job description

Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency (SRCAA) is seeking qualified applicants to join our team as an Engineer I. This position performs environmental engineering permit reviews, inspections, and provides technical compliance assistance to businesses in Spokane County. If you have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field and 2-4 years of experience, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an Engineer-In-Training Certificate AND

• Two (2) years or more of engineering experience or equivalent (a Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Environmental Policy, or a closely related field AND
• Four (4) years or more of engineering experience or equivalent (a Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience).

The required retirement system of the agency is Washington Public Employee’s Retirement System (PERS) which requires an employee contribution. The agency does not participate in Social Security. However, the agency has adopted an 401(a) and 457 Social Security substitute plan with the same contribution rates as FICA. Washington Public Employee Benefits Program (PEBB) provides health/dental/vison/LTD coverage, which is a pre-tax deduction once a month. Other voluntary benefits are offered as well.
