As an Applications Engineering Manager, you will lead a specialized team of applications engineers and bring expertise in CPQ processes and systems. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our customer experience by optimizing the custom quotations process through the implementation and management of CPQ solutions. You will be hybrid and report to the Director of Commercial Operations.
You Will: - Lead the customization and implementation of CPQ systems, ensuring alignment with Watts Water Technologies' business objectives.
- Collaborate with the IT and development teams to integrate CPQ solutions.
- Oversee the development of customized quotations processes tailored to meet the needs of our customers.
- Work with the engineering team to ensure accurate configuration of products in current process and during the implementation of CPQ system.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of applications engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Provide guidance on best practices for CPQ implementation and optimization.
- Be the primary technical contact for key customers, understanding their requirements and collaborating on tailored solutions.
- Work with the sales team during pre-sales activities to showcase the team technical and service capabilities.
- Collaborate with teams, including sales, marketing, and IT, to align projects with overall business objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CPQ technology, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Implement strategies to optimize team processes, enhancing overall efficiency.
You Have: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in applications engineering, with a track record of successful project management.
- 2+ years related experience of successful supervisor/management experience
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and a strong customer-focused mindset.
- Understanding of CPQ concepts, tools, and technologies.
- Demonstrated project management skills with a successful track record of CPQ system implementations.
- Experience on product design related to water flow, pressure, and temperature, such as ACV, Floor Heating, Piping
- Experience in driving CPQ initiatives within a manufacturing or industrial context.
- Certification or relevant experience with leading CPQ platforms (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, SAP CPQ).
- PowerBI, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) for data analytics

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job responsibilities outside the typical office setting.
