Job description
Fabricator - Test Technician
Responsible for quality fabrication of sled bucks, body-in-whites, test fixtures for dynamic and static testing through proper utilization of shop equipment, equipment maintenance, and processes.
What you'll do: - Basic mill programming
- Read and follow fabrication work instructions
- Validation using engineering analysis tools
- Ensure that customer confidentiality is maintained
- Responsible for tracking work utilizing Autoliv's databases
What is required: - High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 year experience in Mig/Tig Welding & Basic Lathe and Mill Operation
- Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge required
- Communicate well and work in a team environment
- Mandatory use of tools (hand held, welder, cutter, etc.) and basic machining (drill press, shear, brake, lathe, mill, etc.) to make test fixtures (i.e. sled bucks, BIW, deployment, impact, tensile, etc.)
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Tig Weld- Mig Weld (certification nice to have)
- CMM / Overhead crane operation
- Read and interpret 2D drawings (i.e. tolerance stack-ups, GD&T, etc.)
