Post Doc Associate

The Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University seeks to fill a USDA-funded Postdoctoral Associate position focused on community-based nutrition and physical activity interventions. This individual will be supervised by Dr. Laura Bellows and join an interdisciplinary research team focused on the development of healthful eating and physical activity behaviors and environments for young children and their caregivers (parents and educators). The successful applicant will have a demonstrated research record in one or more of the following areas: public health nutrition, physical activity, childhood obesity, intervention development, m-/e-health, health disparities, psychology, or child development.

Qualifications :

The position will work primarily on collaborative projects with some effort directed towards the development of independent research products. S/he will engage in day-to-day decisions related to intervention development (web and digital platforms) and identification of assessment tools; creation and execution of data collection protocols for testing of intervention components; data analysis and dissemination of research results. The postdoctoral associate will have opportunities for grant writing, scientific communications, and teaching/mentoring. This is a 2-year position with the possibility of renewal.

$56,484.00 - $80,000.00
