Job description
Job Overview:
- Drive sales and develop business opportunities within the government sector for aerospace manufacturing products and services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies identify new business prospects and coordinate with internal teams to meet the unique needs and requirements of government clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis:
- Conduct research on government procurement trends budgets and upcoming aerospace projects.
- Identify and analyze opportunities for expanding the companys presence in the government sector.
Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to target government clients and secure contracts for aerospace manufacturing products and services.
- Establish relationships with key decisionmakers in government agencies and departments.
Proposal Development:
- Collaborate with the technical and proposal teams to create compelling and compliant proposals for government solicitations.
- Ensure proposals align with government regulations requirements and specifications.
Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate terms conditions and pricing with government clients ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government clients through regular communication and responsiveness to their needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or issues promptly.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Liaise with engineering production and quality assurance teams to ensure the successful execution of government contracts.
- Communicate client requirements and specifications to internal teams facilitating seamless project delivery.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Stay informed about government regulations policies and compliance standards relevant to aerospace manufacturing.
- Ensure that all sales activities and contracts adhere to applicable regulations.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Engineering or a related field. Additional certifications in sales or government contracting are advantageous.
- Proven track record in government sales preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes and regulations.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Familiarity with CRM software for managing customer relationships.
Working Conditions:
- This role may involve travel to meet with government clients attend conferences and participate in industry events. The job may require working in a dynamic and fastpaced environment adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
