Job description

Full-time Float Pool CNA position available for candidate, who is able to drive to and work at various Prestige Care locations within Oregon and Washington, which could potentially be more than 2-hour drive one way. Full-Time position requires candidate to be able to work double 8-hour shifts - day/evening doubles, every weekend. Guaranteed hours would be 30+ as a full-time employee.

Wage: 28.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on dual licensure/experience.

Differentials: 1.50 per hour for eve shift, 1.00 per hour for noc shift, 2.40 per hour for weekend shifts (Friday noc shift through Sunday noc shift).

As a Float Pool CNA at Prestige , you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care and assistance to our residents while maintaining a supportive and nurturing environment. The CNA follows daily activities under the direction of a Licensed Nurse and works together with fellow team members to provide residents with a high-quality care experience. The Float Pool CNA floats between Prestige locations to fill open shifts based on the high priority staffing needs. You are required to be flexible in this position and have the ability to be assigned to our highest priority locations in the state that you are licensed. This is considered a resource position. In addition to the hourly wage, we offer mileage and lodging when necessary.

You would be a member of our terrific internal staffingpool of travel nurses who travel to our skilled nursing care centers in a 8state geographic footprint to serve our residents. 1. Provide quality nursing care to residents in anenvironment which promotes resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, andtheir individuality while providing individualized attention and encouragingresidents to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, andpsychosocial well-being and answering residents' call lights promptly andcourteously.

2. Ensure that individualized care plans arefollowed and providing the charge nurse or other care planning staff withspecific information, changes and observations of the residents' needs andpreferences.

3. Attends to the individual needs of residentsincluding assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinentcare, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring,ambulation, range of motion, communicating, or other needs in keeping with theindividuals' care requirements.

4. Provides care that maintains each resident'sskin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage bychanging incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, andapplying moisturizers to fragile skin.

5. Protects the personal belongings of eachresident including eyeglasses, dentures, hearing aids, furnishings, jewelry,clothing, memorabilia, etc.

6. Performs various tasks assigned by the chargenurse including vital signs, residents' weights, applying creams/ointments,collecting specimens, as well as lifting, moving, and transporting residents,using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention.

7. Responsible for keeping records documenting careprovided or other information in keeping with department policies while performingall job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infectioncontrol procedures including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloveswhere indicated, and proper disposal of soiled materials.
