Job description

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Support Services Associate to provide staffing for the hospitality and support services departments at Morristown Medical Center. These areas and functions include, but are not limited to:

• Food Services Transport
• General Housekeeper
• Patient Transport
• Greeter / Temperature-Taker?/ Screener

This position is eligible for the Atlantic Health System #teenhiring initiative

Food Services Transport

• Deliver/Serve patient meals
• Responsible for sanitation and regulatory compliance

General Housekeeper

• General cleaning, empty trash, high/low dusting, mop floors, sanitize all furniture in patient rooms, clean commode, clean bathrooms and discard debris, remove soiled linen and replace with fresh linen in patient rooms

Patient Transport

• Assists patient in walking to prevent accidents by falling, or transports non-ambulatory patient, using wheelchair
• Guides or escorts incoming patients to designated area

Greeter / Temperature-Taker/ Screener

• Greeting patients, families, and visitors arriving/departing at the respective medical centers and/or AHS ambulatory sites with a verbal acknowledgment
• Responsibilities include screening patients and visitors for temperature and possible COVID-19 symptoms
• Follow the established process to grant or deny access to site when the initial temperature reading is determined

Other

• Duties as assigned/needed
  

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• If 16- or 17-years old valid working papers required
