Job Description – Sr. Analyst, Legal Holds

Position Summary…

The Sr. Analyst role for Legal Holds will be responsible for assisting in the execution of preservation compliance for reasonably anticipated and commenced U.S. litigation, assisting in the development and implementation of effective workflows, leading and working with team members to issue timely and accurate legal holds, and assisting with the implementation of technology to create efficiencies.

The Legal Holds Team ensures preservation compliance by instituting legal holds for Walmart’s reasonably anticipated and commenced U.S. litigation, as well as enabling preservation of documents for internal investigations. To institute legal holds, the Legal Holds Team designs, implements, and advances preservation and compliance strategies. These strategies involve using technology and partnering with relevant stakeholders to enhance preservation as changes occur to business operations, technology, and the law.

• Understanding the fundamentals of a legal holds programs and its processes and technology
• Performing project tracking and process management functions
• Leading the day-to-day issuance of legal holds and assisting in the development of metrics to drive productivity and efficiencies.
• Assisting in the implementation of new legal holds technology solutions
• Conducting data analysis/organization – the Sr. Analyst will help to develop performance metrics and gather other data sources as needed by the team.
• Forging strong partnerships – The legal holds process involves stakeholders across the business, and an effective and efficiently executed legal holds program requires strong partnerships with all stakeholders.

• You have prior Legal Holds experience.
• You have an understanding of metrics and data and the ability to present that information in a digestible format for leadership.
• You have great attention to detail.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are able to clearly synthesize and explain complex processes.
• You’re familiar with technology and other software frequently used in issuing legal holds. 
• You have enjoyed success working on cross-functional teams within a corporate environment.
