Job Description
We are seeking an IT Product Leader to lead applicable steps of the IT Product Management & Development process for Transport COE products. This person will gain a deep understanding of business requirements, identify opportunities and close gaps, improve customer experience and drive growth and bottom-line improvements. The IT Product Leader will work with the Domain Owner to shape and request approval of the budget and secures DevOps resources.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains, with Stakeholders, the product vision and roadmap, prioritizes features, identifies dependencies with a focus on business outcomes.
- Develops Product proposals and supports the development of BCAs.
- Develops and manages relevant phases of the product life cycle, including scope, timelines, budget, architecture, resource allocation and service delivery.
- Be the point of escalation for all Product aspects for the business and IT
- Manages risks, develops mitigation plans and path to green throughout the life of the request.
·Plays an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goal.
- Works with Stakeholders and DevOps Team to assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those features with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
- Supports the Domain Owner to design marketing strategy.
- Leads functional Stakeholder interviews to understand business issues and developing conclusions and recommendations.
- Handles difficult product development and management scenarios.
- Drives feature discussions with Stakeholders, and consequently produces clear, concise documents.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline, share best practices with the team members and senior management and implement continuous improvement actions on a regular basis.
·Communicates agile principles, scrum practices and overall operating model across the organization.
Required Education and Experience
- Previous working experience as a Product Owner/Leader
- Good business understanding of Transportation and good technical understanding of Transportation solutions.
- Proven understanding of transportation industry requirements
- Understanding of the DSC Transport templates and frameworks.
- Extensive knowledge in transportation industry requirements
- Extensive knowledge of the Transport products and business processes
- Strong Stakeholder experience with the ability to influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties.
- Excellent communication skills
- IT Product Management experience
- Experience in delivering complex projects in a matrix organisation across geographical boundaries.
- Proven experience in product management throughout the full cycle
- 2+ years as a Scrum Master (desired)
