Job Description:

The Room and Board Assistant Football Coach will be required live on campus in an assigned housing facility. The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach in preparing the team for competition, teaching techniques of the sport, teaching rules and strategies of the sport, and instructing the team and individuals on methods to improve their performance. Will also assist the Head Coach with conduct, issues and concerns of student-athletes which detract from their ability to be a possible team member. Will be responsible for building positive relationships with the Residence Life staff and the Council Bluffs Police Officers working in campus buildings.

Physical Demands:

Requires ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time. Requires frequent bending, climbing, stooping or stretching. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone, and some travel, including by vehicle, may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving and high-degree of inter-personal skills. Ability to do facility set-up by climbing stairs, ladders, and moving moderately heavy equipment. Work is routinely performed in an office environment. Works in gymnasiums and indoors and outdoors at athletic facilities. Frequent contact with internal and external customers and students is required.
