Registered Nurse Infection Control Coordinator- Salem , OR

Job Type: Full Time

Position Overview:

Coordinates the organization-wide infection control and patient safety program. Assists the Chief Quality Officer in assuring hospital compliance with regulatory requirements.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrates clinical/technical competency. Ensures that the professional development needs of management and staff, related to Infection Control and Patient Safety, are met.

• Responsible for surveillance and epidemiologic investigation

• Responsible for the prevention and control of the transmission of infectious agents


Minimum Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse license - Oregon

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing OR Health care field (Preferred)

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in nursing.

• Experience in performance improvement or infection control preferred.

• CIC certification or working towards completion within 5 years of entry into the profession.

• Knowledge of various regulatory agencies and their standards, JCAHO, State of Oregon, and CMS, etc.
