- Hourly rate of $59.00/hr- $60.00/hr.
Position: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Providence, RI
Unit: Medical/Surgical Acute
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks Renewable
Job Overview: A renowned healthcare facility in Providence, RI, is seeking a committed and skilled Registered Nurse for their Medical Surgical unit. The role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience in a similar setting, equipped with essential skills like MS/Tele, telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmias management, and comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a Medical Surgical unit
- Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 efficiently
- Engage in telemetry monitoring, IV insulin protocols, and blood product administration
- Oversee peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, and PICC line management
- Adhere to isolation precautions and use of Rapid Response Teams
Qualifications:
- Valid ACLS, BCLS certifications
- Willing to work night shifts and every other weekend
- On-call duty readiness
- Flexibility to float within medical and surgical units
Benefits and Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate of $59.00
- Overtime and holiday pay at 1.5% of the base rate
- Additional pay for charge nurse and on-call duties
- Guaranteed hours for the contract duration
