Job description
A mature couple residing in the Upper East Side is seeking a reliable and experienced Houseman to join their household team. The couple, both seniors, already have a chef, housekeeper, and laundress in place. The ideal candidate will be responsible for heavy cleaning tasks, lifting heavy items, and providing light handyman services. The role involves maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, assisting with various tasks, and working collaboratively with the existing household staff.
Responsibilities:
Heavy Cleaning:
- Collaborate with the housekeeper to perform heavy cleaning duties as needed.
- Ensure all areas of the residence are well-maintained and meet the highest standards of cleanliness.
Lifting and Assistance:
- Assist with lifting heavy items as required.
- Help with luggage and deliveries, such as carrying cases of Perrier.
Light Handyman Responsibilities:
- Handle light handyman tasks, including cleaning floors, mopping stone floors, polishing brass, and changing light bulbs.
- Tidy the garden and perform basic pool maintenance.
Property Maintenance:
- Replace the current maintenance company by taking on more extensive property maintenance responsibilities.
- Possess knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems.
Team Collaboration:
- Work seamlessly with the existing household staff, including the chef, housekeeper, and laundress.
- Be a team player with a positive and easygoing attitude.
Formal and Informal Service:
- Provide both formal and informal service, adapting to the preferences of the household.
Attire:
- Wear black pants and a collared knit shirt to maintain a polished and professional appearance.
No Household Drama:
