Role: QA Analyst/Test Associate

Job Description:

• The main function of a QA Analyst/Test Associate is to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution.

Typical Day in the Role:

• Purpose of the Team: Fundamental testing, scale for upgrades, and hardware maintenance.
• Key projects: Basically, this rack hat we have is for a position in Azure File Sync. Some of the responsibilities of this position is running the pipelines. Basically, we have the pipelines that drawn for basically verifying the new features and 20 scenarios where during the pipeline execution of the failures. This person should be able to triage and drive work with the development team to get resolution for that on.
• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: 20% meetings and the rest heads down performing the job function.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
• Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability.
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content.
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
• 2-4 years' experience required.
• Experience testing software.
• Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and test results reports.
• Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing.

Top 3 Skills:

• Minimum 10+ years' Testing and validation work.
• Minimum 10+ years of communication skills ability to physically articulate the issues with the team and at work.
• Minimum 10+ years' experience in Windows server technologies.
