Job description

Summary

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Preschool, Infant, or Toddler Teacher located in Danbury, CT.
The Lead Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing daily classroom activities, supervising children, maintaining a safe classroom environment, communicating with parents and coworkers, and managing classroom routines.

Duties

Demonstrated ability to create and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and the school's curriculum
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate with others
Ability to maintain a safe and positive classroom environment for children, and a commitment to the school's philosophy of learning through play and exploration
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual children, including those with special needs or who come from diverse backgrounds
Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and assessment methods

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a relevant field preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
Experience as a Preschool, Infant or Toddler Teacher or Lead Teacher for young children 
Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
Bilingualism in English and Spanish is a plus
Excellent organizational and time management skills
