The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to serve as a Software Quality Test Engineer at a well-funded medical device company developing a novel AI-based platform to treat cardiovascular disease and dramatically affect care for health conditions that affect 200 million people globally. We are looking for someone to join our North San Jose based team to help lead the software testing of our complex medical products throughout the development and maintenance life cycle.

Potential Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Lead software verification activities for a complex medical imaging system.
• Lead anomaly reviews and track disposition.
• Write test plans, write and execute test protocols, and report bugs found during testing.
• Participate in hardware integration testing activities.
• Work closely with engineering to help them understand the issues found.
• Write automated tests and software utilities to help with software verification activities.
• Validate non-product software.
• Participate in product design documentation reviews for safety, consistency, traceability, and compliance to regulations.
• Participate in product reviews to ensure consistency, correctness, and testability of requirements.
• Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4 - 7+ years of experience testing medical device systems.
• A technical education.
• Must have a good understanding of medical device standards (21 CFR Part 820.30, IEC 62304, ISO 14971).
• Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication.
• Experience with test automation and Atlassian tools (Jira & Confluence) is desirable.
• Working experience with C, C++, Linux is desirable.
• Experience with complex medical imaging products is desirable.

Base Salary Range:

$120,000 - $140,000
