What You'll Do:

This exciting position at Rombaeur Vineyards involves conducting physical and chemical analyses of various materials related to winemaking, ensuring the quality of the final product and monitoring the production process. Job Responsibilities-

•  Supports microbiological analysis and preparation such as sampling, monitoring of bottling lines for sanitation efficacy, media prep, sterilizing bottles, and saline bottle prep as directed.
•  Performs a broad range of analyses utilizing appropriate distillation, titrimetric, colorimetric, and instrumental methods.
•  Operates equipment such as auto-titrators, refractometers, densitometers, gas chromatographs, infrared analyzers, and spectrophotometers.
•  Practices safe work habits and maintains a clean work area
•  Communicates findings with winemaking team
•  Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.
•  Logs samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) if required to maintain data traceability

What You Will Need:

•  Bachelor's degree; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years or 4 seasons of paid laboratory experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibilities; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of chemistry/microbiology laboratory experience.
•  Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
•  Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
•  Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime when necessary; required to work weekends when necessary.
•  Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
•  Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:

•  Hiring Salary Range Posted: $27.79 - $37.50 / hourly
•  Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
