Position: Controls Technician
Location: Flint, MI
Job Type: Direct Hire/ Permanent
We are looking for a Controls Technician in the Flint, Michigan area. You will find their best-in-class systems doing process automation, transport and assembly in automotive, aerospace and a variety of other industries.
Responsibilities for Controls Technician - Responsible for controls systems design, specification, programming, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Work with quality engineers and process engineers to implement process improvements for customer satisfaction.
- Will work with cross functional teams to solve equipment and customer issues.
- Maintain equipment drawings, BOMs, and schematics.
- Debug and commission 840D controls system in motion control application.
- Cell debug on FLT shop floor and during install full time at customer location.
- Must be willing to travel.
Qualifications for Controls Technician - Siemens Step 7 experience, mostly software, hardware
- Siemens 840D, mostly software, hardware
- Preferred candidate to be able to read AutoCAD and Eplan
- Preferred candidate to Technician primary role will be for commissioning program from scratch to asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently without much supervision.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
- Driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to effectively manage time.
