Responsibilities:

Establishing a Safe Learning Environment:

Supervise children at all times
Maintain a secure environment in the classroom and playground
Report incidents promptly to the Program Director or Site Manager
Adhere to Community Care Licensing standards and regulations
Advancing Physical and Intellectual Competence:

Ensure positive teacher/child interactions
Collaborate with teachers to plan age-appropriate lessons and activities
Conduct circle time, provide input for field trips, and support remote distance learning
Supporting Social and Emotional Development:

Utilize positive guidance techniques
Model appropriate behavior for children through Positive Descriptive Acknowledgement (PDA)
Work with teachers to set developmental expectations for the age group
Building Positive Relationships with Families:

Establish positive connections with parents/guardians, respecting cultural differences
Assist in Parent/Teacher conferences and encourage parental participation
Ensuring a Well-Run Program:

Maintain classroom supplies and implement lesson plans
Complete DRDP paperwork and procedures
Participate in staff teamwork, communication, and collaboration
Follow and implement relevant educational regulations and requirements
Maintaining a Professional Demeanor:

Be flexible with work schedules
Promote the organization's philosophy and objectives
Pursue ongoing professional development and obtain necessary permits
Maintain confidentiality on all matters concerning children, parents, and staff
Physical Requirements:

Able to lift fifty (50) pounds
Ability to navigate stairs without limitation
Good health and able to pass a physical exam
Other Duties:

Assist Site Manager, Program Director, or Executive Director as needed
Qualification Requirements:

High School Graduate
Knowledgeable and experienced in Early Childhood Education and Child Development
Willingness to take 12-21 units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development courses
Hold a valid Associate Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, State of California, Sacramento
Bilingual: Able to speak, read, write, and understand the Spanish Language
Position Details:

Office Location: San Francisco
Start Date: Immediately
Compensation: $28.00-$29.00 per hour
Status: Non-exempt, full-time, 40 hours per week
Reports to: Program Director, Site Manager, Lead Teacher, Teacher
Benefits: 403 (b) Retirement Plan, Medical Health and Dental Plan, Commuting Benefits
Employment Type: Part-Time
Salary: $ 28.00 29.00 Per Hour
