Mechanical Engineer

Fulltime
Mechanical Engineer for Large Engines:
- Provide engineering support primarily for lubrication and cooling domain on large commercial engines.
- Determine suitability of applying existing components and/or sub-systems to new engine design programs or upgrades to existing applications
- Lead and manage requirements definition, design concepts, analysis/simulation, design down select, validation activities within the NPI / CPI process
- Lead and support the closure of formal CPI (Continuous Product Improvement) and NPI (New Product Introduction) issues
- Lead team meetings with Lube Systems suppliers to manage existing purchased finished components and to develop new purchased finished components from concept thru start of production
- Collaborate with internal process partners, suppliers, and internal/external customers on multiple projects that will be taking place simultaneously
- Create and present informal and formal design reviews
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum and 7+ years of progressive work experience
- Component and system level design experience
- Experience with Large Engine NPI (New Product Introduction) and CPI (Continuous Product Improvement) process and timelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
Top Candidates will also have:
- Knowledge of Engine components and sub-systems
- Component level design experience with castings and fabrications
- CREO 3D modelling
