Position: Dairy Buyer

Location: Great Neck, NY, USA (Onsite Position)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive salary of $80,000 to $90,000 per year plus bonus and benefits.

Join our dynamic team as a Dairy Buyer and play a vital role in the procurement and timely delivery of our dairy products. You'll work closely with our Senior Director of Purchasing and Senior Buyers to achieve company goals while ensuring the highest quality products and services at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Place orders to meet forecasted demand.
Secure the best product costs, quality, and service consistently.
Adhere to established policies and procedures.
Maintain inventory and turn goals while minimizing distress.
Collaborate with various departments to achieve objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
Review acquisition costs and assess inventory, market conditions, and promotional impact.
Conduct post-promotional reviews and analyses.
Resolve inventory issues and billing discrepancies.
Monitor costs, quality, service level, and inventory through reports.
Visit stores as needed for feedback and program monitoring.
Coordinate with Warehouse Operations for smooth product flow.
Utilize remote access for buying system when necessary.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 3+ years of purchasing or vendor management experience.
Marketing/logistics experience preferred.
Understanding of beverage procurement, logistics, inventory management, marketing, accounting, and financial management.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Strong initiative and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
Ability to multitask and adapt to interruptions.
