Job description

Position Summary:
Working under the guidance of the Director of Instruction alongside an Instructional Administrator, the Homeschool Teacher plays a pivotal role in educating TK-12th grade students. This position involves crafting personalized and adaptable learning programs to foster academic growth and personal development. Emphasizing alignment with California Common Core State Standards, the Homeschool Teacher addresses student needs for both academic support and enrichment. Collaboration with parents to provide guidance, resources, and strategies for optimal learning and positive socio-emotional development is also integral to the role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve and support students in grades TK-12th grade.
Conduct regular meetings with students and parents every 20 school days to review progress.
Develop lesson plans aligned with California Common Core State Standards.
Provide both direct and indirect instruction.
Foster strong, positive relationships with students and parents.
Customize short and long-term educational plans tailored to individual student needs.
Prepare students for required assessments.
Collect and analyze assessment data for educational planning.
Evaluate student progress regularly.
Review and approve enrichment orders for learning plan support.
Maintain accurate paperwork and records promptly.
Cultivate an engaging and innovative learning environment.
Encourage student participation in standardized testing.
Assist in proctoring internal and state-mandated testing.
Ensure compliance with all necessary documentation and procedures.
Participate in meetings and professional development activities.
Plan and coordinate regional events such as field trips and performances.
Serve on school committees and engage in community activities as needed.
Qualifications:

Understanding of various learning modalities and educational philosophies.
Proficiency in evaluating curriculum and educational programs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Competency in standard office software and virtual meeting platforms.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and dependability.
Ability to maintain accurate records.
Residence in the Northern California, Sacramento area with a commute to El Dorado Hills.
Education and Licenses:

Valid California multiple subject teaching credential.
English Learner Authorization.
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Meeting specific criteria for TK student education as per California Department of Education standards.
Work Environment:

Conditions vary based on school site or specialized assignments.
Physical demands include sitting or standing for extended periods, occasional bending, lifting, and mobility.
Travel may be required for meetings and trainings.
Exposure to various environmental factors including weather conditions and potential hazards.
