Job description
Cuberg is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of R&D, Cell Technology to lead and drive the development of next-generation battery technologies. As the Director of R&D, Cell Technology, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's cell technology roadmap. This leadership position requires a deep technical expertise in lithium-based battery systems and a strong focus on innovation and commercialization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and managing a team of scientists and engineers to deliver advanced battery solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the R&D team to develop and optimize next-generation battery technologies.
- Set the strategic direction and priorities for cell technology development.
- Drive innovation and continuously evaluate new opportunities and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful translation of R&D efforts into commercial products.
- Manage research projects, budgets, and timelines to meet company objectives.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in battery technology and apply them to the company's roadmap.
- Communicate and present technical concepts, project status, and results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and foster partnerships with external organizations and research institutions.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in battery research and development, with a focus on lithium-based systems.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of scientists and engineers.
- In-depth knowledge of battery chemistry, materials, and cell design.
- Proven track record in developing and commercializing battery technologies.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
Benefits
The target US compensation range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $265,000 + equity + benefits. Compensation ranges are determined by level, role and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire total cash compensation (base + bonus), individual pay is determined by additional factors including relevant job-related skills, experience and additional factors.
