Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Occupational Health and Safety Technician to join our team at Spectrum Healthcare Resources. In this role, you will perform Bioenvironmental Engineering activities in the fields of Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Radiological Health, and Environmental Health to ensure healthy working conditions and protect the environment from adverse effects of operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and inspections to identify potential health and safety hazards in the workplace.
- Implementing and monitoring occupational health and safety programs and policies.
- Collecting and analyzing data related to environmental health risks.
- Providing training and education to employees on health and safety practices.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies for mitigating risks and promoting a safe work environment.
- Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
- Experience in conducting occupational health and safety assessments and inspections.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
