Under the direction of the Department Director, the Charge Nurse (CN) is responsible on a shift basis for the operations of a specific clinical unit such that it complies with hospital and nursing philosophy, policies, and procedures. The Charge Nurse assists the Department Director and Patient Care Managers in ensuring the delivery of safe patient care through the nursing process by assisting with staffing issues, and serving as liaison between administration and staff during the assigned shift. The individual demonstrates personal and professional responsibility; participates in creating an atmosphere of teamwork and coordination; and assumes responsibility for own professional development. Requirements Unrestricted AL or Multi State RN license and BLS 6 months experience as Registered Nurse preferred.Job tags
