**Job Opportunity: Lead Estimator**

- New construction: Engineering, fabrication, and installation of mechanical systems for new projects, following lean construction practices.
- Special projects: Retrofits and mechanical repairs for existing buildings to enhance efficiency.
- Service: Scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure tenant comfort, along with 24/7 emergency response.
- Building performance: Control systems, fault detection, energy services, and remote monitoring.

**Position Overview:

We are seeking a Lead Estimator to oversee a team of professionals in accurately assessing the total mechanical cost of projects. As a leader, you will implement procedures for improving the estimating process and provide mentorship to team members. Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders are crucial aspects of this role.

**Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates with all required deliverables.
- Develop and manage metrics for the department and sales team.
- Mentor team members in communication and collaboration skills.
- Participate in project interviews, presentations, and detailed estimate reviews.
- Assist in maintaining and updating estimating tools and processes.
- Validate estimating cost basis through jobsite walks and project reviews.

**Qualifications:

- 10 years of commercial estimating or preconstruction experience in the construction industry.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and develop employees.
- Experience in various delivery methods and market sectors.
- Advanced knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
