Gumbo is a New Orleans staple and here at Gumbo YaYa we’ve taken gumbo to an art form. Our location in the historic Jax Brewery building serves the very best of this Louisiana concoction along with a host of other culinary delights sure to please every palette.
Let’s start at the very beginning – our crafted Gumbos. Our namesake Gumbo YaYa is a mixture of gulf shrimp, oyster blue crab, chicken and andouille sausage. Choose from other scrumptious recipes like our 7-steak gumbo, Seafood and Okra gumbo, Duck and Andouille sausage and much more or, if you’re not in the mood for gumbo (and there may be a time) we have several other soups to choose from.
But Gumbo is just the beginning. Stick to your ribs entrees, Fried Seafood platters, AMAZING sandwiches and Po’ Boys are there for your pleasure. Add in amazing, down-home sides, a robust kids menu and desserts, desserts and more desserts and this will be the ONLY place you’ll want to stop.
