Summary

The incumbent is responsible for developing, implementing and executing a global supply chain strategy and Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process for Hyperion, including inventory management. Leads the global planning team to effectively communicate plans and KPI’s to key stakeholders in Sales, the Business Lines and Operations to ensure alignment and fulfillment of customer commitments. The Supply Chain strategy and processes will include demand planning and forecasting, collaboration with manufacturing, capacity planning and management with key KPIs to include Inventory, fill rate and on-time delivery (including intercompany). The Global Supply Chain Director is critical in evolving SIOP processes globally in order to fulfill customer commitments at optimal inventory levels, as well as leading development and implementation of Supply Chain processes within Hyperion’s ERP system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborates with Commercial, Finance, and Operations teams to build partnerships with global and local teams for effective Supply Chain performance and planning accuracy.

• Develops and maintains demand forecasts, and target service levels in collaboration with commercial teams, operations and product management
• Translates demand forecasts to manufacturing requirements, identifies and resolves capacity constraints or opportunities
• Sets and governs target inventory levels

Leads all Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) tasks including, but not limited to:

• Building a strategic plan with a goal of realizing on time deliver requirements at optimal inventory levels
• Developing standardized Site Scorecards and implementing Schedule Adherence strategies starting with quick wins in year 1 and broader plans in years 2 and 3
• Setting global and site level inventory targets. Developing and implementing Inventory Reporting KPIs
• Developing roadmap and leading implementation of Supply Chain module and planning tools within the ERP systems in order to enhance and scale SIOP capabilities
• Establishing and maintaining the Site ERP Planning KPI metrics that measure the performance of the SIOP, Production Planning, and Site Scheduling functions
• Executing problem solving to improve performance of KPIs

Establishes and implements procedures and systems for all SIOP Department activities.

Identifies and develops key supply chain users for M3 ERP systems.

Develops, manages and continually reviews the Global Supply Chain strategy. In collaboration with local Operations teams, implements and monitors execution of key improvement initiatives.

Serves as lead person on key operational decisions that have global implications such as Target Level Inventories; stock fill; ERP management.

Reports regularly on manufacturing, planning, and inventory performance.

Collaborates with IT and other resources to define & guide ERP utilization to create data linkages that will support Supply Chain Analytics and demand-based actions.

Collaborates with Site Leads and General Managers to develop site organizational structure to align and cascade SIOP roles and responsibilities. Collaborates with HR to establish an effective organizational structure and staff responsibilities. Trains and develops staff.

Leads and manages team in accordance with the organization’s policies. 

• Interviews, selects and trains Global Supply Chain employees.
• Develops SIOP employees at sites and resolves problems.
• Monitors progress on employee goals and development plans. Provides feedback on employee performance and drives engagement to meet Hyperion’s targets.

Education and/or Work Experience

Four-year college degree or equivalent and 10 years of relevant work experience. 

Technical Skills/Physical Requirements

• Experience in implementation of ERP platforms (for example, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Must have good time management, planning, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to influence across a broad range of experience levels and cultures.
• Broad knowledge of business economics as related to SIOP.
• Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence using original and/or innovative techniques or style.
• Ability to speak effectively before individuals or large groups of customers, suppliers, or other employees.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Work well with subordinates, peers, and superiors in all departments as well as external contacts.
