Job Title: IT Account Manager
Pay Range: $78.73 per hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Resource, W-2
Duration: 1/8/24 – 1/7/25
Location: Merrillville, IN| Hybrid role with requirement to be onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Scope of Services: The company is embarking on an Advanced Metering Infrastructure program across the Electric and Gas portfolio for its operating companies. This position will lead one of the programs, serve as the delivery lead for the program, and work across the other AMI Programs to ensure it is implemented and aligned with enterprise expectations.
The IT Account Manager will manage highly complex or enterprise-wide IT programs consisting of multiple or large transformational projects spanning multiple organizations. You will work across IT towers and with business partners to develop an overall program strategy for a portfolio of work, along with the project planning and resourcing needed for execution. Overall, the IT Account Manager is responsible for delivering all projects and enhancements within their portfolio on time and within budget while meeting the strategic and business requirements of the organization. The Portfolio manager becomes the primary contact for business partners, stakeholders, and vendors and develops a trusted partnership.
Roles, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:
- Plans and manages a portfolio of multi-million dollar IT programs that are comprised of highly visible, high-profile projects that span the organization and have significant enterprise impact
- Develops overall program strategy to ensure proper sequencing and integration of large/complex projects within the portfolio and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as necessary, based upon the needs of the business
- Communicates with IT leadership and senior business leadership to review program strategy, direction, and changes
- Experienced quantifying impacts of risks and issues to scope, schedule, budget, and prioritizing and driving resolution
- Continually evaluates and maintains efficiency in managing the portfolio of programs through planning, scheduling, and budget assessment
- Manages a team of multiple project managers and project resources for the execution of programs/projects
- Monitors, measures, and reports on program status to IT leadership and senior business leadership
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of enterprise-wide IT Program management experience with deep knowledge of waterfall, agile, hybrid, and SDLC methodologies and tools
- Experience managing programs $5M – $10M+ that span multiple years and consist of a combination of internal and external and labor and non-labor cost components
- 5+ years of experience with project cost management, budget forecasting, and resource capacity planning
- 3+ years of experience implementing change management approaches to support programs
- Utilities Industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP Certification and ITIL experience preferred
- Proven ability to engage and develop relationships with executive sponsors and key stakeholders with clarity and precision
- Coaching and development of team members preferred
- Advanced Metering Infrastructure experience preferred
