Maintenance Coordinator - Utilities & Energy Services Facilities & Services Job Summary The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the management and ongoing development and implementation of a proactive maintenance program for the Recommissioning(ReCx) group of F&S - Utilities and Energy Services Division at Urbana-Champaign. Duties will include the development and implementation of Recommissioning documentations, revising and updating database/records/condition assessment of building automation and HVAC equipment. Assisting the ReCx Management Engineers with the group's daily needs and HR functions.
Duties & Responsibilities - Manage administration activities associated with the ReCx group.
- Order material and supplies and request/oversee contractor services permits for the ReCx group.
- Coordinate, schedule, and manage meetings between building occupants, ReCx teams, and craft and trades shops in association with Recommissioning visits.
- Submit work order request for issued found during building visits.
- Maintain all records generated from Work Planning Meetings for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Manage and oversee ReCx group training.
- Gather and provide engineering documents to team members for building visits.
- Manage and update all documentation resulting in revisions associated from building visits. Work with Record Management group to archive documents.
- Review/Develop/implement recommissioning close out documents for building visits.
- Manages and oversees ReCx shops work management metrics.
- Initiate and follow through with safety issues identified in building visits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands - Visual Acuity : Constantly
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of experience in coordinating technical building systems, such as but not limited to, HVAC or DDC systems.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Excel VBA/Power BI
- Experience in formulating and maintaining shop metric goals
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Excellent organization skills: ability to prioritize workload, work independently with minimum supervision, and take initiative.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft products such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn new software and computer applications.
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills to work with and maintain effective relationships with shop staff, vendors, F&S personnel, and all levels of supervision, management, and campus contacts.
- Ability of operate university vehicle.
Appointment Information This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search close date. The starting salary for this position is $50,000. Final salary offered will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, collective bargaining agreements, and budget constraints.
