Job description

Job Purpose:

The Operations Manager will supervise a team of employees who use machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, inventory control and other steps along a production line.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement specific objectives and performance measures for each functional area and individual to improve performance., Ensure that all warehouse and delivery employees receive proper training and skills development., Interpret, understand and act on individual and collective performance and quality data., Lead selection and hiring of new warehouse and delivery employees and supervisors; evaluate employee performance and develop and implement action plans for improving employees’ performance., Maintain a culture of safety that follows the organization's Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) policies to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to oneself and others in the workplace. Instruct the team in safe working methods and escalate serious issues as appropriate., Maintain and control the physical condition of the warehouse and delivery equipment, supplies, security, facilities, grounds, etc., Manage and control warehouse and delivery expenses and capital., Perform ther duties as assigned., Plan and coordinate work activities of warehouse functions (directly and through supervisors), including receiving, picking, shipping, delivery, security and inventory control.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Work Experience:

6+ years of successful supervisory/management experience is required. Ability to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent. Excellent leadership, customer relations, and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to motivate the team, manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment. A thorough understanding of distribution management (customer service, sales, purchasing, warehouse, credit, information systems, and logistics). Preferably from a large, national, or decentralized organization.

Education:

● Bachelor's Degree
