Job description
AFCU is seeking a Solutions Specialist to join our Risk Management Team. Alternatives is a Community Development Financial Institute (CDFI) credit union serving Tompkins and surrounding counties and is proud to find solutions for those left behind by the mainstream financial institutions. CDFIs share a common goal of expanding economic opportunity in low-income communities by providing access to fair financial products and services for local residents and businesses.
The Solutions Specialist will preserve Credit Union assets by controlling delinquent accounts, motivating payments, and recovering collateral. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be mission driven, adaptable, diplomatic, and able to work in a team-based environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school education or GED. Additional education or training in a similar field is preferred.
