Job description

Are you passionate about alternative investments and possess a wealth of experience in capital introduction? Do you pride yourself on your track record and the strong relationships you've established with key institutional investors and allocators, such as pension funds, endowments, and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs)? Are you adept at working collaboratively with seasoned Sales teams to both generate leads and support the sales process from start to finish?

We're on the hunt for a dynamic Vice President to spearhead our Alternatives Business Development within our prestigious Institutional Client Group. This group stands as the cornerstone of our Asset Management business, playing a pivotal role in nurturing investment relations with top-tier clients, including Fortune 500 companies and significant public sector organizations.

What You'll Bring to the Table
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree is essential, with an MBA or CFA being highly preferable.
Experience: At least 12 years of proven success in capital introduction, specifically within the alternatives sector, gained through roles in hedge funds, asset management, prime brokerage, or top-tier placement agencies.
Knowledge and Skills: A deep understanding of institutional investors' needs, a structured approach to CRM and client interactions, and exceptional collaborative skills to work seamlessly across various departments including Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and Client Services.
Licensing: Must possess FINRA Series 3, 7, and 63 licenses.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Mindset: A growth-oriented mindset, investment savvy, and a collaborative spirit are key.
Work Ethic: A strong commitment to work, coupled with a willingness to travel extensively for client engagement.
Your Role and Impact
Your primary mission will be to collaborate with our seasoned sales team to boost AUM growth within our alternative investment offerings. Your responsibilities will include:

Identifying prospects in partnership with Investment Portfolio Managers and Sales teams.
Leveraging personal and organizational relationships to originate leads and drive sales engagements.
Working closely with the Sales and Relationship Management team to devise strategies for both existing clients and new prospects.
Partnering with Marketing to refine sales materials based on investor feedback.
Staying abreast of market trends and product demands to tailor our offerings effectively.
