Summary The Product Manager role is responsible for identifying sourcing needs, securing sourcing, and managing non-wellhead supply relationships for M. Holland’s Sustainability initiatives in a manner that is consistent with the Company's strategic and operating objectives and Core Values. Responsibilities include developing and implementing long-term supply strategies, building relationships with key suppliers, negotiating supply agreements, creating and maintaining price guides for Sales, and working with Supply Chain to provide market-driven guidance re. inventory management, generation of supplier forecasts, and packaging strategy. This role will be home office based from anywhere in the USA.
Critical Activities - Serves as a subject matter expert on Sustainability developments, trends, and solutions
- Represents MHC at Sustainability and industry trade events
- Serves as internal advocate for Sustainability
- Identifies and manages non-wellhead suppliers
- Collaborates with Sourcing team in accessing wellhead Sustainability solutions
- Overseas onboarding of non-wellhead suppliers
- Assembles and manages a compelling and profitable line card of Sustainability solutions
- Interfaces with major customers and OEMs to identify and satisfy their Sustainability wants and needs
- Represents MHC in industry trade associations
- Ensures that commercial messaging is consistent with MHC’s capabilities and strategies
- Oversees pricing of Sustainability solutions
- Collaborates with other Business Development verticals on market-specific needs
- Identifies proprietary product opportunities
- Collaborates with Technical Innovation Center on product development programs
- Identifies R&D and manufacturing partners for Sustainability products
- Ensures direct reports have professional development plans
- Participates in Business Development meetings
- Supports other functional teams with strategic insight and direction
Knowledge & Skills - Bachelor’s degree and/or 10 years industry experience and success
- Commercial management experience preferred
- Experience in a matrixed commercial organization
- Willingness to travel extensively, including some international travel
- Track record of identifying and presenting innovative and creative solutions
- Well-developed presentation and planning skills
- Sales and sales management experience preferred
- Sourcing experience preferred
- Technical expertise in product development and compounding
- Demonstrated strong collaboration skills
- Proven ability to interact / influence senior level management
- Experience preparing, closing and/or managing contracts
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office and CRM technology
