Job description
Field Engineers are the front-line to customers to implement their publishing technology needs. An ideal candidate has a technical mind with a creative eye, and an internal drive to push publishing technology to the next level. They must be comfortable interacting with clients and thinking on their feet in a rapidly evolving and changing industry.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Technical Services Manager
- Work with clients to understand requirements and develop creative solutions
- Assist customers with using and integrating vjoon K4
- Assist customers with using Entermedia and/or ResourceSpace Digital Asset Management
- Provide training services for digital publishing, digital asset management, and editorial workflow systems
- Promote a positive and collaborative team environment
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in media or technology-related major or similar with strong technical skills,
- or equivalent professional experience
- 1-5 years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications
- Experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS technologies
- Excellent problem solving skills with desire to take responsibility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Advanced knowledge of Macintosh and Windows operating systems
- Experience with customer service and technical support
- Ability to multi-task and effectively time manage
- Ability to creatively breakdown problems and devise solutions
- Ability to learn, understand, and adapt to new technologies
- Commitment to travel approximately 25% of the time
Nice to Have:
- Portfolio of previous web or digital publishing projects
- Experience using Linux
- Experience using Sketch
- Experience with OmniGraffle
- Knowledge of programming in PHP
- Knowledge of content management systems (Drupal, WordPress, etc.)
- Knowledge of workflow management systems (K4, WoodWing, etc.)
- Knowledge of digital asset management systems
- Creative Design sense
