Job Title: Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN)

Job Description:

United Health System is seeking a highly qualified Licensed Practical Nurse to join our dynamic team in Traverse City, MI. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you can positively impact the lives and overall health of the residents that you care for through providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the Nursing Assistants. This care is in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act; current federal, state, and local standards. Our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) ensure quality care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough health assessments for employees, including pre-employment screenings, health evaluations, and immunizations.

• Collaborate with employers to develop and implement effective occupational health programs that promote employee wellness and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Administer and coordinate vaccination programs, ensuring employees are up-to-date on required vaccinations.

• Provide first aid and emergency care to employees in the workplace, as needed.

• Conduct health and safety training sessions for employees, addressing topics such as injury prevention, ergonomic practices, and health promotion.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for employees, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurers, and regulatory agencies to facilitate appropriate care and compliance with occupational health standards.

• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety.

Qualifications:

• Provide direct patient care by performing basic nursing tasks, including taking vital signs, administering medications, changing dressings, assisting with personal hygiene, and monitoring patients' conditions
• Collaborate closely with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including doctors, registered nurses, physical therapists, social workers, and dietitians
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues regarding treatment plans, progress updates, and any concerns
• Maintain accurate records and documentation according to established policies and procedures
• Participate in ongoing education and training programs to stay current with best practices and industry standards
• Assist with maintaining a safe and clean work environment, following infection control protocols and adhering to safety guidelines
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

• Afternoon Shift

Weekly schedule:

• 5x8
• Weekends as needed
