IFF is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team! This role will be supporting our IFF Pharma Solutions business. The location can be in Midland, MI; Wilmington, DE; Plaquemine, LA; or Nitro, WV.

This role will lead cross functional coordination with internal and external groups and drive resolution of any issues impacting the ability to ship. This role requires responsibility and proactive oversight for order management between SAP and our 3PL Warehouses and Partner providers. The right candidate will enjoy a fast paced, challenging, and independent work environment. Once fully integrated and operations transition to a run and maintain environment, this position will support a variety of logistics execution tasks, logistics projects, and process improvements.
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review all open orders to ensure accurate information (Incoterms, routes, shipping type, etc.); discuss with regional CSR’s if any discrepancies are found and ensure all necessary corrections are made.
- Be an active and accurate user of SAP, experience with WHL highly preferred.
- Monitoring delivery and shipment creation, troubleshooting batch determination, packing, manual creation when needed
- Lead cross functional coordination and troubleshooting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting shipment cost creation in SAP.
- Work in close collaboration with our planning and warehousing groups to ensure shipments are processed as planned, and in a timely manner.
- Cross train with other team members to ensure proper back up plan is in place.
- Be able to identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements.
- Proactively communicate with regional CSRs, RDRPs, carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs any changes or relevant information pertaining to individual orders.
- Provide appropriate and accurate documentation involving Letters of Credit and bank drafts and make available to customers and/or bank in a timely manner.
- Work in close collaboration with IFF 3rd Party Logistics providers/contracted carriers and ensure products are transported under conditions that fully meet all transportation requirements of food and pharma grade products; proper refrigeration, protect from freezing service, proper blocking and bracing, and proper handling of hazardous material, etc.
- Work in close collaboration with our planning and warehousing groups to ensure shipments are processed as planned, and in a timely and efficient manner.
Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Associates Degree - BS/BA Degree preferred.
- Minimum of four years of Logistics experience (Domestic, International, Warehousing) with advanced knowledge of freight forwarder activities, export documentation, export trade compliance, transportation management for all modes (Land, ocean, air, rail…).
- Good understanding of Incoterms
- Must have basic SAP knowledge
- Team player
- Must be able to work independently
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
- Ownership to drive issues to resolution.
- Owner mindset
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
