Your Opportunity
Our Pasadena, Irvine and San Diego, California offices of Stantec are seeking a part-time Engineering Intern to join our multi-disciplinary team of integrated water professionals, each committed to delivering sound and strategic consulting services to a range of local, regional, state, and federal clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
Gain experience in with various areas including:
Water-related infrastructure
Water and wastewater treatment plants.
Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on water projects throughout California and the western U.S.
Conduct technical evaluations, supporting planning and design of water supply, water treatment, and wastewater projects.
Coordinate with project managers, project engineers and staff, clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors.
Assisting technical staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling, and evaluating project data, preparing reports, performing calculations for design projects, along with some exposure to CAD, GIS, and design.
Perform project administration including preparation of reports, gathering of information, drafting proposals and correspondence, and completing progress reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in diverse team environments, interacting with staff, clients, and stakeholders
Willingness to perform field work as needed
Education and Experience
In progress toward earning a Bachelor's degree (minimum) or Master’s degree in civil/environmental engineering, or related field, and a minimum of 1 year of related undergraduate coursework.
Specific coursework or exposure to one or more of the following:
Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Salary Range(s):
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
