Job description
This role reports to the Manager of Project Controls and supports the refinery Turnaround Group for the setup, maintenance, and reporting of all Turnaround cost information. A summary of reports to be maintained are as follows. Turnaround budget reporting, including forecasting and accruals, commitments, and actuals. This position will be responsible for creation of all turnaround work orders, purchase requisitions for services and materials. This position will work closely with the Project Controls Manager and Turnaround Manager managing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) strategies for an effective cost management & reporting process. Position assists with the development of Project Controls deliverables, plans and processes; validates headcounts to report planned, actuals, and variances and trends; collects cost data by various cost types and assists with development of reports for performance results; supports the validation of vendor charge codes within all systems. Candidate will be required to work with all stake holders for maintain all KPI reporting and change Management development.
Education: B.S. Degree in Business/Finance/Engineering/Construction Management (or similar), or applicable experience in lieu of degree.
Work Experience: 8-10 years' experience in project controls/project cost management
Experience with Project Controls as it pertains to a Turnaround environment, preferably in an owner's representative capacity in an Oil and Gas refinery or chemical manufacturing environment
Minimum Position Requirements: Experience with Turnaround Environment, preferably in an owner's representative capacity, preferably in refining or chemical projects
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with emphasis in MS Excel, including Power BI.
Strong knowledge and experience working in SAP, with prior experience in Requisitioning
Experience creating, managing, and closing work orders in SAP, preferred
Familiar with TRACK timekeeping and materials modules, and reporting suites
Procurement and Purchase Order management and tracking
Project change management change logs, forms, and supporting documents
Working knowledge of Industrial/Refining/Chemical construction process & contract delivery
Staffing plans development and management
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent planning, time management, problem-solving and analytical skills
Patient when handling issues and/or problem resolution situations
Strong verbal and written communications skills, along with the understanding and ability to work with confidential information
Proven commitment to Safety, Health, and Environmental standards
Special Skills: Understands the Turn-Around life cycle and processes.
Complete understand of project performance calculation.
Understanding of the Financial Accrual process
Developing custom reports using key financial and performance data
Understands Primavera and Microsoft Project schedules definitions and basic schedule philosophies/fundamentals
On-site assignment with a preference for local candidates, but non-local would be eligible for $151/day per diem.
