Maternal Fetal Sonography Specialist Inova's Loudon Hospital is looking for a PRN
Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our team supporting our Maternal Fetal Medicine group in our Antenatal Testing Center in Leesburg VA. This role is PRN - and will work as needed Monday-Friday Days.

Responsibilities: - Provides clinical services according to specialized maternal fetal ultrasound practice standards to detect fetal anomalies and acts as a resource to students, nurses, fellows and other technologists, to ensure optimal department functions
- Communicates effectively with patients/families to answer any questions and to obtain clinical maternal fetal history/informed consent from patient to assist the physician in optimizing the performance and interpretation of the examination
- Assist the physicians in performing TEE, Amniocentesis, and AV optimization studies demonstrating knowledge of proper sterile techniques and isolation precautions as they pertain to the various specialty procedures.
- Demonstrates the ability to use proper care and aseptic cleaning techniques on all equipment, probes and solution to include daily testing
- Operates imaging equipment, performs routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images and troubleshoots equipment reporting to equipment to biomedical engineering/vendor as needed.
Requirements: - Three years of hospital or doctor's office-based experience in the performance of specialized maternal fetal sonography detecting fetal anomalies
- Graduate of an accredited school or program of diagnostic sonography with a specialty or five plus years on the job training performing specialized sonograms
- ARDMS Registration
- BLS and NT Certification
