Job Title: PowerSchool Administrator II
Location: Ascent Classical Academy Charter Schools - [Central Services]
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Work Hours/Days: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, Hybrid
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
Position Summary:
The Operating Philosophy adopted by the Governing Board of Ascent Classical Academy Charter Schools, Inc. (ACACS) emphasizes autonomy of each school's Headmaster coupled with support and guidance from shared resources provided by an education service provider in order to leverage the economies of scale of a charter school network so that financial impacts to each school may be minimized.
This position serves as a PowerSchool expert, a guide, and a resource for coordination, redundancy, and support so that Headmasters and campus registrars can fulfill their responsibilities and functions effectively and efficiently.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate with campus registrars to develop and implement a plan and the communication tools that cover the full enrollment process.
- including but not limited to initial applications, lottery implementation, waitlist management, and intent to returns.
- Coordinate with campus registrars to develop and implement a plan and the communication tools that cover the full registration process.
- including but not limited to alignment of data collection to Authorizer reporting requirements, fee collection, and document collection and storage.
- Coordinate with campus registrars, Deans, and Headmasters to support gradebook implementation and management.
- Coordinate with campus registrars and Headmasters to implement report card and transcript templates that balance a network grading scale with campus autonomy.
- Operate as a support system to teachers by providing technical support when they need help with Gradebooks (PowerTeacherPro), solving the problems and/or escalating to PowerSchool and monitoring the escalation.
- Coordinate/Collaborate with other network PowerSchool staff when necessary to solve campus problems.
- Coordinate with campus registrars, Headmasters, other network PowerSchool staff, and the Chief Financial Officer to develop and maintain an ACACS documentation system for PowerSchool procedures, configurations, etc.
- Coordinate with campus registrars and Headmasters to gain and leverage an understanding of accessing PowerSchool departments supporting the above tasks both in times of urgent need as well as in times of proactive projects.
- Collaborate professionally and collegially with the campus registrars to build and maintain a team environment across locations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with PowerSchool Administrator and PowerSchool Teacher
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan timelines and train/coordinate with various departments with ; self-motivated excellent time management,.
- Competent in PowerSchool object reports and APEX reporting.
- Ability to reconcile and analyze large datasets.
- Advanced Excel expertise
- Experience with Learning Support and Student Assessment systems and/or other types of data analysis systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Must have the ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis in a hybrid position.
- Self-starter, leader in field, and fosters an environment of collaboration.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Google Suite, and Web browser application proficiency
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Ability to clear required background check.
