Job description
A leading energy company is working alongside Shirley Parsons to source an EHS&S Director for their Jersey City, NJ area facility. Working closely with various business functions including: EHS&S, Corporate Responsibility and Legal - this individual will provide overall leadership and direction of environmental regulatory affairs for the organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President of EHS, you will play an integral role in ensuring the company remains both compliant and industry leading, when it comes to current and future EHS matters. The Role:
Develop and implement safety programs across multiple sites, working to build a progressive safety culture
Work closely with the executive leadership team to create and execute EHS strategy; serve as a subject matter expert within the company
Provide mentorship and supervision to a team of direct and indirect reports
Oversee workers compensation claims management; conduct regular site audits and inspections; analyze key metrics to identify areas for improvements
The Candidate:
10+ years of relevant EHS experience in chemicals or petrochemical industries
Strong knowledge of PSM, RMP, and Air & Water regulations
Familiarity with NJDEP regulations
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
Supervisory and management skills
Excellent communication and leadership skills
