University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care.
Serving North Texas and surrounding areas, UBH Denton has provided a range of programs treating mental health illnesses and substance abuse issues since 2005. Our inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services offer supportive and compassionate care for adolescents and adults with specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients.

Position Summary:
The LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Chief Nursing Officer in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychi atric and personality disorders, administering medications, and other duties in the LVN scope of practice .

QualificationsEducation: Graduate from an accred ited professional v ocational/practical nursing program.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a L VN in psychiatric nursing preferred .
Licensure: Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing from the State Board of Nur sing.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam bef ore administering medications, and CPR certification and successful completion of Handle w ith Care ( HWC ) including restraint and seclusion policies within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
