Job description

DSA is seeking a highly qualified Geospatial Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI with CI Poly to join our team in Aurora, CO at Buckley SFB.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
• DOD 8140 (8570) IAM or IAT Level II Certification
• At least 8 years of experience with software system design, development, and integration
• Experience using Python, SQL and other programming languages to enable geospatial capabilities.
• Experience with ESRI database tools and technologies
• Experience supporting data streaming services.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Ability to work with a distributed team efficiently.
• Ability to maintain technical documentation.
• Willingness to work with end-users on their issues and promote the use of geospatial tools to the community of interest.
• Familiarity with cloud networking principles
• Familiarity with secure development practices
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence)

Desired Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
• Experience with ICITE or DCGS-A Cloud concepts and architectures
• Familiarly with data science approaches and methodologies
• Knowledge of Agile software development project methodologies

Key Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will play a critical role in the modernization of Army programs performing Army and national security missions. The software engineer will support the transition of the program from its current on premises iteration into a cloud hosted environment. The engineer will design, develop, and deploy cloud-native geospatial/GEOINT applications and services. The software engineer will utilize GEOINT and geospatial data, APIs, and tools to build applications that integrate analytics and machine learning solutions. The software engineer will integrate GEOINT databases and services with cloud-based platforms to enable spatial analysis, mapping, and visualization.
